GPET Resolution on City Council’s Agenda
Wyoming Statute stipulates that the General Purpose Excise Tax must be approved every four years by the electors of the county. A resolution that would place continuation of the GPET on the ballot for the General Election in November must be approved by the Sheridan City Council, Sheridan County Commission and half of the municipalities within Sheridan County. The City Council, at their business meeting Monday night will consider a resolution to place the GPET on the ballot. Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger.
Mayor Bridger says the Council will also be considering the bid award for the City’s Waste Water Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Project.
Also under new business, the Council will be considering contracts with the City Administrator and the local firefighters union. The Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 18 at 5:30 pm in Council Chambers on the third floor of Sheridan City Hall.

Yes, put it on the ballot and NO let’s NOT re-impose Wyoming’s highest county sales tax.
The people of Sheridan need a tax break.
Have you seen gas prices lately?
We need tax relief and we need it now.
Lower taxes are better.
