Utilizing the Jamar
The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office is utilizing a new device that’s used for collecting traffic data. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office now has a Jamar speed and counting unit that’s used to collect traffic data. Sheridan County Undersheriff Doug Sanders talked about the Jamar during a recent visit on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse.
Sanders said the Jamar is an invaluable traffic data tool as it documents the date, time, speed and the direction of travel of the motorist.

I can see where all of this is headed…with “Jamar” targeted collection of traffic data today …then in the future law enforcement will ask the state legislatures for specific passage of laws that allow the “Jamar” to be used in conjunction with “fog camera technology” and through the passage of state and municipal laws speeding citations could be issued based on the data and evidence collected through the combination of these two types of technology…George Orwell’s book that was written in 1949 that was titled “1984” is becoming more of a reality with the passage of time simply because the lure in issuing citations generates billions of dollars for local governments…”taxation by citation” or “policing for profit” could potentially be the new reality under the demise that “big brother is watching out for you” (lol)
