Central Wyoming College-Dubois Hands-On History Program Returns
Central Wyoming College-Dubois has announced they will host the return of its Hands-On History program in partnership with the National Museum of Military Vehicles from 6–8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, March 19–21, at the museum located at 6419 U.S. 26 in Dubois.
Led by National Museum of Military Vehicles Curator Rae Whitley, the program offers participants an immersive, behind-the-scenes experience with military history. According to a release, attendees will have the opportunity to examine historical military artifacts up close, learn about the stories behind the collection and gain insight into how artifacts are preserved and interpreted. Each session has been limited to 15 participants to create an interactive learning environment.
National Museum of Military Vehicles Founder Dan Starks said the program is designed to help people connect more deeply with the stories of those who served.
“This program is about honoring the men and women who served by preserving and sharing their stories in a meaningful, personal way,” Starks said. “By offering hands-on access and direct interaction with our collection, we’re creating opportunities for people to connect with history in a way that is both educational and deeply impactful.”
Central Wyoming College President Brad Tyndall said the collaboration reflects the college’s commitment to community-based learning. The program is $12 per person and advance registration is encouraged due to limited seating.
Additional sessions are planned Thursday through Saturday in April and May. For more information or to reserve a seat, contact CWC Dubois Outreach Coordinator Katrina Dingman at 307-455-2625.
