Unemployment Rates In Sheridan/Johnson Counties Drop In March 2025

Unemployment numbers in North-Central Wyoming and the rest of the state decreased for the second straight month in March.
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased from 3.5% in February 2025 to 3.4% in March.
The rate was at 2.9% in March of last year.
The US Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for March was at 4.2%, which is up from 4.1% in the previous month, and was at 3.9% in March 2024.
Sheridan County’s unemployment rate dropped from 3.9% in February to 3.8% in March, while Johnson County dropped from 3.4% to 3.1%.
Sheridan County was at 3.3% in March of 2024, while Johnson County was at 3.6%.
Teton County had the lowest unemployment rate in March at 2.3%, while Big Horn County had the highest rate at 4.7%.
Non-farm employment in the Cowboy State increased by 3,700 jobs from March of last year to March of this year.
