BPD Chief Announces Parade Route Change

Published

There will be some changes to the parade route for the upcoming Johnson County Fair and Rodeo Parade in August.

Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett, in his recent report to the city council, said changes are necessary due to construction on Buffalo’s Main Street.

Bissett explained that traffic on Highway 16 both east and west will be diverted onto Carrington Avenue to avoid the parade and construction.

All roads on the parade route will be closing one hour before the start of the parade.

He asked the public to be patient as this is a new situation and the police department will be doing the best they can to move traffic and keep the parade route safe.
