Sheridan County YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday said Pop-Up Camp is returning next week.

The popular Pop-Up Camp will be taking a hiatus this week due to the WYO Rodeo. But will be returning to North Heights Park next week.

Through a partnership between the YMCA and the Food Group, and generous donations from Dairy Queen, the YMCA Pop-up camps provide nutritious meals and snacks while the Y organizes and operates fun activities and games that keep kids in Sheridan fed and active during the summer season at no cost to parents.

Games are designed to be fun and provide the camp experience for Sheridan children. A popular game that has taken hold, according to Cassiday, is Gah-Gah Ball.

Pop-Up Camp takes place every Wednesday evening at 4:30 p.m. at North Heights Park. For an hour, kids will take part in games and camp style activities.

All children are welcome. The park is located across the street from the intersection of North Heights Drive and North Heights Road.
