Johnson County to Enact Stage One Fire Restrictions
Stage One Fire Restrictions will go into effect in Johnson County at midnight on Friday, July 11, as recommended by County Fire Warden Thomas (Tiddle) Camino.
According to a release issued by the fire warden, the restrictions are due to abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions in the county.
Both the Powder River and Johnson County Fire Districts are requesting the restrictions.
Restrictions include the prohibition of open fires, the use of fireworks, explosives, and chainsaws without spark arrestors.
