Yellowstone National Park June 2025 Numbers Show Signs Of Another Packed Year
This year could be the busiest year on record at Yellowstone National Park.
The park reports there were a total of 928,250 recreational visits in June 2025, making it the second busiest June on record.
Those numbers are up 1% from June 2024 (914,612 visits) and down 1% from June 2021 (938,845), which remains the busiest June so far.
Year-to-date numbers through the end of June, show there have been 1,690,922 million visits to the park in 2025.
Those numbers are ahead of last year’s year-to-date numbers (1,633,739) and the year-to-date number of 2021 (1,587,998), which is currently the busiest year.
Historically, June, July and August tend to be the busiest months at the park.
Last year at this time, the park was on pace for its busiest year ever, but then numbers decreased in July, August, September, and October, thus 2024 ended up being the second busiest year on record (4.744 million in 2024 vs. 4.86 million in 2021).
