Trail Opening Celebration at Red Grade: July 15

The Sheridan Community Land Trust is inviting the community to the Trail Opening Celebration as two brand-new trails—Fire Up (hike/bike) and Upper Drifter (hike)—are now open from the Aspens Trailhead, offering new ways to explore the Bighorns.

According to SCLT, these trails were made possible thanks to the hard work of K4 Trails, Montana Conservation Corps, AmeriCorps, Wyoming Pathways, SCLT’s amazing Conservation & Recreation Interns, and support from community donors and volunteers.

Together, these trails complete continuous routes that will allow trail-goers to travel from the Base to Bear Gulch at Red Grade Trails. Construction on Upper Let ’Em Roll and Highlander Trail resumes in 2025. Until then, SCLT is inviting adventurers to grab your gear and hit the trails.

The Trail Opening Celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Base Trailhead of Red Grade Trails.

SCLT will provide burgers and beverages until they’re gone.
