JCHC Needs to Replace COVID Analyzer
The Johnson County Healthcare Center will be replacing its COVID Analyzer.
CEO Luke Senden Made the announcement to the hospital board at their recent meeting, saying the old one has reached the end of its useful life.
The board put a policy in place about a year ago that Senden had authority to make necessary equipment purchases under $50,000 and just keep the board informed when they were done.
According to discussions, the new analyzer will not only test for COVID but influenza strains and the Streptococcus bacteria among others, whose tests will now be able to be done in-house at the facility.
No action from the board was necessary.
