Published

on

As of Monday afternoon, the Johnson County Library is open but they have implemented a number of preventative measures designed to lessen the impact of COVID-19 should a case be confirmed in Johnson County.

In a post on the library’s Facebook page, the library said they have canceled all programs.

The library is asking visitors to use hand sanitizer when arriving and leaving, and to maintain a 4 to 6 foot distance from other individuals, and asking individuals that are sick with a fever over 100 degrees, or are experiencing a cough, or any other symptoms, please stay at home.

Staff may ask you to leave if you are sick.

The library has other preventative measures in place as well,

including:

The number of public computers has been reduced to enforce social distancing.

Toys and games have been removed.

No new meeting room reservations will be taken.

Book donations will not be accepted until May 1st at the earliest.

The measures will be in effect until they are deemed no longer necessary.
