Grandmasters to be featured during the Sheridan Chess Association international tournament

The Sheridan Chess Association (SCA), a 501c3, will hold its second international tournament on May 4 – 6 at the Ramada Inn in Sheridan. 

Last year’s tournament caught the attention of the international chess community. While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Co-directors of the SCA Jay McGinnis and Dan Casey spoke on the history of chess and why they love the game. 

With great chess competitors and grand masters planning to attend, once again, International Master Justin Sarkar, will play against up to 25 other players simultaneously.

The torment will be a 5-Round Swiss. The event will feature Grand Master Alex Fishbein and a $7,575 guaranteed prize fund.
