Aaron PalmerSheridan County’s Commissioners have ratified agreements between the county and various entities for them to provide use of their facilities for a mass vaccination clinic and/or a Strategic National Stockpile Point of Distribution of vaccines.
The agreements were with the Northern Wyoming Community College District; Sheridan County Fair Association Board; and Sheridan County School Districts 1, 2, and 3.
According to the agreement, a Mass Vaccination Clinic or a National Stockpile Point of Distribution may be needed in the case of a pandemic influenza or other biohazard event. A designated site is required by the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security and would be used for receiving, storage, and distribution of medication and/or medical supplies furnished by the Strategic National Stockpile and Sheridan County Public Health.
