Pearl A. Christoffer

Pearl Avynelle Christoffer was born on December 15, 1927, in Round Lake, Minnesota to the late Charles and Ella (Wiess) Manitz. She graduated from Round Lake High School in 1945 and was a member of the Presbyterian Church when she was baptized. After graduation, she worked for NW Bell Telephone at Windom as a telephone operator and service representative.
On March 28, 1948, Pearl was united in marriage to Gerald (Jerry) Christoffer at the Presbyterian Church in Round Lake. They were blessed with 4 children, Karen, Kathy, Kraig and Krista. Pearl was confirmed at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom on February 2, 1949.
The family moved to Lakefield and then to Buffalo, Wyoming. In Buffalo, Pearl worked part-time for the Bell Telephone Company, Johnson C. Credit Bureau and Johnson County Driver License Bureau. Also, Pearl and Jerry were founding, longtime members of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Pearl and Jerry moved back to Windom in 2000 where Pearl was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom.
Pearl loved playing Canasta, 500 and Dominoes with friends at the Senior Center. She also enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels.
Pearl is survived by her four children, Karen (John) Grein of Hutchinson; Kathy (Dennis) Aumer of Bird Island; Kraig Christoffer of Springfield; Krista (Aaron) Palmer of Buffalo, WY; 9 grandchildren, Elizabeth Freeman, Teresa Wagner, Matthew Grein, Sheila Hamlett, Kyle Aumer, Leia Simon, Ryan Christoffer, Keli Hogue, William Mitchell; 2 step-grandchildren, Jeremy and Kiriann Palmer; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Joanne Christoffer and Dorothy Nessius; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; eleven brothers and two sisters. Blessed be the memory of Pearl Avynelle Christoffer.
A Celebration of Life Service for Pearl Christoffer, age 94 of Windom, will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 10th, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom with Pastor Paul Sajban officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in rural Windom.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 10th from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Savior in Windom.
Pearl Christoffer passed away on Tuesday, January 4th at the Good Samaritan Society-Sogge Memorial in Windom.
