Dale Shumaker

Dale Allen Shumaker, 72, passed away on Friday December 31,2021, in Sheridan,WY. He was born November 5, 1949 in Riverton, WY, the third child to Jim and Eva Shumaker.

Dale graduated from Riverton High School in 1968 and moved to Casper, WY to begin working for Coca-Cola. It was in Casper that he met Shanna and they started their family. Dale then moved his family to Sheridan in 1972 to work for Pepsi Cola. Dale took his amazing work ethic and began his mining career as an oiler at Big Horn Coal and then Decker Coal for 35 years.

In his down time, Dale (or Shoes, to many) enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoying a cold one with his many friends. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Dale leaves behind daughters Lynnette (Joe) Bradley, Connie (Mercedes) Rodriguez, and son Donny Shumaker, grandchildren Heather Bose, Jeff (Shelby) Sanders, Shalynn Sanders, Justine Moore-Bradley, Nevaeh, Victoria, Elexis, and Journey Rodriguez and great-grandchildren Dalayna Downs, Hunter Bose, and Grayson Sanders, along with one brother, James Shumaker, Jr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jackie White.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at the Big Horn Eagle’s on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 4:30 – 6:30 pm a light dinner will be served.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

    Everyone who knew Dale knows he would not have wanted tears but he always said when it was his time he wanted a party. He also wanted you to remember his life as he lead it, fun, friends and family. Come and have a “cold one” and pass on your memories of a great friend. God bless
