Doris Leibee

Funeral services for Doris Leibee, 101 year old long time Wyoming resident who passed away Saturday at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo will be held Friday October 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor John Constantine officiating. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Donations in Mrs. Leibee’s memory may be made to the Amie Holt Care Center in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Doris Louise Leibee was born on August 27, 1920 in Cannon Falls, Minnesota to Harold and Mable Fraley. She moved with her family as a young girl to Midwest, Wyoming. She grew up and went to school in Midwest and attended Midwest High School. She was married on September 6, 1938 in Casper, Wyoming to William M. Leibee and they made their home on the 9 Mile Ranch. They ranched for many years on the 9 Mile and on their ranch North of Buffalo. In 1965 they moved into Buffalo where Doris was a homemaker. Bill passed away in April of 2002 and Doris continued living in Buffalo until her death. She had been a resident of the Amie Holt Care Center for the past six years.
Doris was a longtime member of the Big Horn Baptist Church. She loved going to church and was Sunday School teacher. Doris loved to read her Bible. Her passion was spending time with her family. Her ice tea and coffee were legendary. She is survived by three sons, Jack Leibee and his wife Karen of Sheridan, Wyoming, Bill Leibee and his wife Mary Lou of Buffalo and Mike Leibee and his wife Andrea also of Buffalo; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter Mickie Joe McNeal, four brothers and four sisters.
