Dog & Cat Shelter Adoption Event and Sunday Polo

The finals of the Flying H’s Moncrieffe Cup entertained a large crowd at the Big Horn Equestrian Center yesterday, and while the horses played, so did many adoptable dogs from Sheridan’s Dog & Cat Shelter. 

Adoption events like yesterday’s are impactful for the Dog & Cat Shelter and the animals that the nonprofit homes for many reasons. The dogs receive different stimulation than they would in the shelter, the events help raise funds, and adoptable animals are able to find their forever homes. 

Jill Moriarty, Executive Director of the Dog & Cat Shetler, provided a statement:

“Thanks to the help of several volunteers 8 lucky dogs were able to experience a day of adventure at the Big Horn Equestrian Center watching Sunday Polo and meeting their potential future owners.  If you were at the event, you saw how awesome all of these dogs behaved.  Put in an application soon to adopt one of these incredible dogs!”

The mission of the Dog & Cat Shelter is “…to be a safe haven ‘Home in Between Homes’ for stray and surrendered pets until they can be adopted, rehabilitated, or returned to their owner.”
