Aaron PalmerThe Sheridan County Commission has approved a Notice of Intent to vacate a public right-of way in the Downer Addition.
County Engineer Ken Muller gave more details at their recent meeting.
Muller explained that the only reasonhe could see for the county to hang on to the property is if the City of Sheridan comes forward and asks the county to do so.
The commission approved publishing the Notice of Intent to Vacate the 60-foot wide public right-of-way, known as Holmes Avenue, and the alley in the Downer Addition.
Objections from the public can be filed with the county on or before noon on July 2nd, with the consideration of the vacation to be done at the commissioner’s meeting on July 6th.
