Pam McFadden
Funeral services for Pam McFadden, 82-year-old Buffalo woman who passed away at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings on Saturday, will be held Sunday, October 4th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Buffalo with Father Todd Young officiating.
Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside rites to follow the funeral. Donations in Pam’s memory may be made to the St Francis Animal Shelter @ 109 Flat Iron Dr. in Buffalo, Wyoming 82834. Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com
Pamela Jo McFadden was born on October 16, 1943, in Rawlins, Wyoming to Joel and Josephine Hays. She grew up in Rawlins, where she went to school and graduated from Rawlins High School with the class of 1962. Following High School, Pam attended the Denver School of Nursing.
Shortly thereafter, she moved with her two sons to Northern California, where she devoted her life to her family, friends, and serving others in her community through her leadership in healthcare. She served as CEO of Brookwood Hospital and North Coast Rehabilitation Center in Santa Rosa, California, for more than 20 years.
In 2004, Pam and her family returned to Wyoming, settling in Buffalo, where they worked together to operate The Pines Lodge and The Mansion House Inn. She quickly became an active and devoted member of the Buffalo community, serving in leadership at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and giving her time generously to the Bread of Life Food Pantry.
Pam “retired” in 2018 but maintained a very active lifestyle—attending all of her grandkids’ and great-grandkids’ activities, serving as an active member of many church committees, and loving and supporting her family until her life was unexpectedly and tragically cut short by illness.
Her family extended far beyond those connected to her by blood. Her friends and the many animals she loved—her horses, dogs, cats, goats, and even a bobcat she cared for as a child—were all part of the family she created around her. She cared for each of them deeply, giving them the same love, patience, and unwavering devotion that came so naturally to her.
Pam is survived by her sons, Wesley Killian and his wife Lisa, and Joel Killian and his wife Martha of Buffalo; stepson Steve Townsend and his wife Kelly of Santa Rosa, California; grandchildren Samantha Grubb, Jack, Scott, Nate Killian, and Maddy Schafer; and great-grandchildren Owen and Livvy Grubb. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Eleanor “Dee” Delenikos, and husband Johnnie Pond.
