WY Governor Mark Gordon To Sign The First Bills Of The 2025 Legislative Session Into Law

The first few bills have passed both the Wyoming State Senate and State House of Representatives, and are now on Governor Mark Gordon’s desk.
The Governor is scheduled to sign 10 bills into law on Monday (February 24th) at 1:15pm in the State Capitol Building.
These are the first 10 bills of this year’s Wyoming Legislative Session.
Among the bills include House Bill 75 (Click here) which would decrease the state’s severance tax rate on surface coal from 6.5% to 6.0%.
House Bill 82 (Click here) would require health insurance carriers to follow specific guidelines regarding health care provider credentialing.
House Bill 4 (Click here) would raise snowmobile registration fees for both residents and nonresidents.
House Bill 22 (Click here) would include certified water and wastewater operators for the purposes of emergency response, and that local homeland security plans coordinate with them.
Senate File 23 (Click here) would expand the types of health care providers who have the authority to submit a letter on behalf of a patient applying for a handicap placard.
Senate File 25 (Click here) would require WYDOT to implement and administer an electronic lien and title system, except for mobile homes.
