Arland Timm

Arland Jake Timm, 63, passed away suddenly on July 19, 2024 while haying. Born to Sonny “Joe” and Gladys Timm, Arland entered the world in Kimball, Nebraska, on November 27, 1960. Arland grew up in Grover, Colorado, where he played baseball, football and basketball. He graduated from high school in 1979. After high school, Arland trained horses for Dave and Beth Bashor in Grover. Later, he began a flooring business, working in both Cheyenne and Laramie.

In 1995, Arland met Marci Pilch at a roping in Cheyenne, and they were married a year later in Sheridan. They shared 28 years of marriage. The love of their life, Haley was born in 2000 in Cheyenne. In 2003, the Timm’s began a new adventure, moving to Sheridan and starting a retail flooring business. Arland retired from the flooring business and continued to ranch on Lower Prairie Dog which was his lifelong passion. He enjoyed his time being the “CEO and CFO” of Haley’s Heart J Cattle Company.

Arland had a deep dedication to the farming and ranch community, just as they had to his family and him. Marci and her family are tremendously grateful for the love and support of their friends, family, and neighbors.

Arland is preceded in death by his parents, several aunts, uncles, and a niece and nephew. He is survived by his wife Marci, his son, Jacob (Megan) and their children, daughter Tara (Sonny) Galvan and their children, and daughter Haley. He is also survived by brothers Joe (Evelyn), Albert, Don (Connie), Dwane (Sandy), Alan (Charon), and his sister Denise (Todd) Fuerte. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Sandy Pilch and his brother-in-law Jeff (Deirdre) Pilch and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Arland’s Celebration of life will be held at Kane Funeral Home on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM with a reception immediately following at the Elks Lodge. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Sheridan County 4-H Program at 1090 Dome Loop, Sheridan 82801.

    Marci & family, i am very sorry to hear about Arland I always enjoyed working with him when you owned the floors 2 go store
