Donald Scott

Donald Lynn Scott left this life on February 26, 2023, in Carlin Nevada. Don was born in Gillette Wyoming to Donald G and Jane (Timar) Scott on April 9, 1969. After his parents divorced, he and Jane moved back to Buffalo. He gained a bonus father in 1973 when his mom and Elgin Streeter were married. The three of them enjoyed life’s adventures while living in Wyoming, Colorado, California, and Nevada. In 2000, Don moved to Carlin Nevada, and met the love of his life, Arla St Laurent. They were married on July 20, 2002. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Heaven and Mary. Don was a loving, supportive, and dedicated husband and father. Five years ago he became a Papa to grandson Memphis, one of his greatest treasures. Don was a family man and a good friend. If you were good enough to be a friend, then it was just natural to him that you were also family. In addition to family time, camping and BBQs brought Don great pleasure. And he loved football and Nascar. Taking the family to the track infield in Las Vegas and meeting Kevin Harvick was a highlight. He was always there for others, never expecting anything in return. He lovingly cared for his mom around the clock, prior to her passing. We cherish the time we were blessed to have him and his memory will live in our hearts forever. Don was preceded in death by his father Donald, his mother Jane, his Timar and Streeter grandparents, aunts Jessie Timar and Diane Streeter, uncles Louis, Jimmy, and Milt Timar, Eldon Streeter, and George Bingham. He is survived by his wife Arla, daughters Heaven and Mary, grandson Memphis, stepfather Elgin Streeter, aunts Betty Carlock and Sharon Timar and Uncle Oliver Streeter, and great aunts Pearl Kukuchka and Estella Wright. He is also survived by many cousins and a host of great friends. We will celebrate Don’s life, along with Jane and Elgins in the Big Horns that they all loved. The celebration will be on July 1st at 11:30 at the Hettinger Group Picnic Area. We would be honored by your attendance. Lunch will be provided. Please bring a camp chair and a side dish if you wish, and join us in sharing memories.
