Good Day for the Football Pokes / Rockies Open up the MLB Regular Season Tomorrow / Buffalo Cancels the “Jerry Campbell” Track Invitational

COWBOY SPRING FOOTBALL – The Wyoming football Cowboys opened up their spring season yesterday, spring ball will culminate with the annual Brown and Gold game at War Memorial stadium Saturday April 29th.

Head coach Craig Bohl met the media after day one and said they had a pretty good day.

And over the next couple of week they have some important spots to take a look at.

SOCCER – The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams have matches with Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.

The Lady Broncs take to the road for games in Cheyenne, the Broncs are on the schedule to host the T-Birds and Indians.

TRACK / FIELD – In track and field action this week the Jerry Campbell invitational in Bufffalo set for Saturday has been canceled, Sheridan, Big Horn and Tongue River were all set to compete, TR did confirm yesterday they will now attend a meet in Greybull Saturday, Big Horn and Sheridan have not committed to any other meets as of today.

GOLF – The spring golf season for the Broncs and Lady Broncs is scheduled to start start in Worland a week from tomorrow.

TENNIS – The spring tennis season for the Broncs and Lady Broncs will begin at a two day event in Gillette April 14th and 15th.

TROOPER BASEBALL -The Sheridan Troopers are getting ready to open up the American Legion baseball season will will start two weeks from this Sunday.

The Troops open the season at home with a double header with Powell Sunday April 16th.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – Season long coverage of the Colorado Rockies will start with opening day tomorrow afternoon when they play at San Diego first pitch is set for 2:05, Rockies baseball can be heard live on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
