Sheridan College Rodeo: The Sheridan College men placed 7th and the women 6th at this past weekend’s rodeo event held at Lamar Community College in Colorado.

Christopher Nelson was 4th in the saddle bronc riding and currently leads the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings in that event.

Chaz Dewey is in 3rd place so far in the bareback riding.

Faith Heim was 5th overall in weekend barrel racing.

RyLee Price won the long go of the breakaway roping and finished 6th overall.

The next scheduled rodeo is this weekend at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne.

It also marks the halfway point of the season and the end of the fall portion of the schedule.

After this weekend, the season takes a break.

Points earned carry over to the spring season which starts in mid-March.


University of Wyoming Football: The Wyoming Cowboys are preparing a little faster than normal for their game this week.

The Pokes play a Friday night contest at San Jose State, who is 3-2 on the season and like the Cowboys, also beat Hawaii.

Offensively, UW is averaging 14.2 points per game, which is the 4th worst of FBS teams.

The offense is averaging 293.2 yards per game, which is in the bottom 10 nationally.

Head Coach Jay Sawvel says you can’t put all of the blame on the player under center.

Kickoff at San Jose State is scheduled for 7pm Friday.


Denver Nuggets Pre-Season Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won their pre-season game last night at Utah 117-106.

The Nuggets next pre-season game is scheduled for this coming Sunday at home against Chicago.

The regular season starts 2 weeks from tomorrow.


Major League Baseball Playoffs: The LA Dodgers won Game 3 at Atlanta yesterday 3-1, to take a 2-1 lead in their best of 5 National League Division Series.

Game 4 is today.

The Braves need to win to force Game 5, which would be played on Friday in LA.

an Diego stayed alive by winning at home against Milwaukee last night 4-3, but trail in the series 2-games-to-1.

Game 4 is today.

The Padres need to win to force Game 5, which would be played on Friday at Milwaukee.

As for the American League series, today is Game 3 with Cleveland playing at the Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay at the New York Yankees.

The White Sox and Rays lead their opponents 2-games to none and are aiming for a sweep, while the Guardians and Yankees need to win today to stay alive.
