Sheridan College Men Place 7th; Women 6th At 2026 Lamar CC Rodeo Event

The Sheridan College men’s team maintained their third place standing and the women’s rodeo team maintained sixth-place regional standing in Lamar, Colorado this past weekend.

In the Saddle Bronc long go, Chris Nelson started in fourth place with 78 points.

He was followed by Jake Schlattmann in fifth place with 77, Bleu Wanner in sixth with 77, Taiten Eaton in seventh with 76, and Jack Chase in ninth with 73.5.

In the short go, Nelson dropped to fifth place with a 77-point ride. Jack Chase came in seventh with 77 points.

Taiten Eaton came in eighth with 76 points. Schlattmann and Wanner fell to ninth and tenth respectively, after no rides.

In the average, Nelson landed in fourth place with 155 points.

Eaton finished in seventh place with 152, Chase in eighth with 150.5, Schlattmann and Wanner finished in ninth and tenth, respectively, with 77 points.

Tie down roper Wiley Dempewolf took seventh place in the long go with a 17-second run, while Bridger Peil came in eighth with a 17.4-second run.

In the short go, Dempewolf and Peil had no time and dropped to ninth and tenth place, respectively.

The two held their positions in the average with Dempewolf’s 117 average and Peil’s 117.4

On the women’s team, Faith Heim finished tenth in the long go with an 18.84-second run.

Heim rose to fourth in the long go with an 18.17-second run and finished in fifth place with an average of 37.01-seconds.

In goat tying, Kaeley Hutchinson took fifth place in the long go with an 8.5-second run, while Ramey Schack came in eighth with an 8.8-second run.

In the short go Schack rose to sixth place with a 9.9-second run while Hutchinson dropped to ninth place with an 11.6-second run.

Schack finished in seventh place with an average of 18.7 seconds, while Hutchinson finished in ninth place with an average of 20.1.

Breakaway roper RyLee Price took first place in the long go with a 2.7-second run.

She dropped to sixth place with a 12.5-second in the short go, finishing in sixth with an average of 15.2.

The Generals will compete next at Laramie County Community College on Oct. 9-11.
