Sheridan HS Football: Since 8 of the 10 teams in Wyoming Class 4A football make the playoffs, most of the games played are between 2 teams jockeying for playoff seeding.

Today’s game in Sheridan is no exception.

The Broncs host a Cheyenne East team that has the same record as them, and the winner will have a leg up on the competition for the #2 seed.

The Thunderbirds come in with the 3rd best offense and 2nd best defense in Class 4A.

Sheridan Head Coach Jeff Mowry explains what kind of problems the opposition will present.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.

Big Horn/Tongue River/Buffalo HS Football: It’s senior night for Big Horn as the Rams host Wheatland.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6pm.

Tongue River is on the road against Burns, also starting at 6pm.

Buffalo plays its home finale vs. Riverton, with 6pm kickoff time.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Volleyball: There is less than 1 month to go in the season before state champs are crowned.

Sheridan is at home both today vs. Cheyenne East and tomorrow vs. Cheyenne Central.

Big Horn won last night at home vs. Buffalo 3-1.

The Lady Rams are at Moorcroft today, and at home tomorrow vs. Wright.

The Lady Bison visit Glenrock today.

Tongue River plays one game this week and that is today at Wheatland.

Kaycee swept Arvada-Clearmont at home last night.

The Lady Bucs are playing today and tomorrow at the 1A jamboree in Casper, while the Lady Panthers have the weekend off from competition.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Cross Country: The Sheridan varsity as well as Big Horn have the weekend off.

The Sheridan JV is scheduled to race today at a meet in Casper.

Tongue River and Buffalo are both going to the other side of the mountain today, to race in a meet at Powell.


Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Sheridan is competing in the Southeast duals both today and tomorrow at Cheyenne East.

Buffalo hosts their invitational tomorrow at the Johnson County YMCA, beginning at 10am.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are at home this weekend against Montana competition.

The team hosts Bozeman today and Helena tomorrow.

The puck drops in both games at 7:30pm.


College Football: The Wyoming Cowboys play today in a Friday night contest at San Jose State.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.

Montana State has the weekend off from competition.

The Bobcats are next scheduled to play 1 week from tomorrow at Eastern Washington.


University of Wyoming Men’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys have been practicing for several weeks and the team is ready to play.

The Brown and Gold will be in Gillette on Sunday for an exhibition game against Northern Colorado, who is coached by former Sheridan College Men’s Basketball Coach Steve Smiley.

Tip off is scheduled for 2pm.


Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos are hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s loss this coming Sunday, when they play at the winless LA Chargers.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:05pm and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche split mid-week road games, losing on Wednesday at Winnipeg 3-2 and won last night at Calgary 7-3.

The Avs are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. Toronto.


Major League Baseball Playoffs: Cleveland won Games 3 and 4 the past 2 days at the Chicago White Sox, to tie up their best of 5 American League Divisional Series at 2 wins each.

The deciding Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Cleveland.

The visiting team in this series has won every game so far.

Tampa Bay will host the winner in Game 1 of the Best of 7 American League Championship Series on Monday.

Meanwhile, the LA Dodgers are scheduled to visit Milwaukee on Sunday, for Game 1 of the National League Championship Series.
