Christine LeVaughn Manthey-Zorn was born on October 11, 1967, in Durango Colorado. She was a precocious little girl who grew into a lovely, smart young woman. She received the highest score on the ACT test in New Mexico during her senior year of High School garnering her a full scholarship to New Mexico State University. Her college was interrupted by the blessed birth of her first daughter Gwen and followed by Rick, Amanda, and Daniel. Her little family spent time at her family’s home in SW Colorado and in eastern Washington before moving to Alaska where they spent the next several years “roughing it in the wilderness”. Kristi returned to the lower 48 in 2008 where she helped care for her beloved grandmother in Colorado.

After spending time in North Carolina with her children and grandbabies, she headed west and spent a summer as a chef in Yellowstone National Park. On to Sheridan where she joined her best friend Daniel, where they made their home together. Kristi loved working alongside Daniel as a sous chef and volunteering at the local food bank.

Kristi is survived by sons Rick (Maggie) and Daniel Hughes and daughters Gwen Brown and Amanda (Josh) Swanson, and grandbabies, Jaxon, Willow, London, Dublin, and Alexander all in Fairbanks Alaska, Mom, Judy Wales (Bob), brothers Bill Manthey-Zorn and Karl Manthey-Zorn, aunt Terri Conrad and Daniel Raimon.
