Ezra Micaiah Sadek
Ezra Micaiah Sadek was born into this world on October 6, 2003, and passed away at the young age of 21, just a few weeks shy of his 22nd birthday. He was born in San Diego and immediately stole the heart of everyone around him. He was such a happy little one and as soon as he knew how to make people smile, he would find all the ways to make you laugh. Ezra was not just a beautiful son, but a brother, grandson, uncle, step-brother, friend, boyfriend and brother in arms. He loved his sister Nadia so much, they were two peas in a pod, and always had each other’s backs. Ezra had the most beautiful sparkle in his eyes, whether it was holding Kacey, teasing Nadia or his mom, or talking about future plans with Victoria, his girlfriend. Ezra was a protector, a warrior, a lover and a light. His passing has darkened the world, but his love for those around helps his life continue to shine.
Ezra loved dirt bikes and anything else with a motor that he could ride like a wild child. He lived life with as much love and wild spirit as he could. He brought so much joy, laughter and happiness to every person he was able to talk to. Ezra had the biggest heart and humor, and was so smart. He felt everything with his whole heart. He made it his life to protect his momma, sister, niece, girlfriend, and all of his many loved ones.
He joined the Army in August 2022, graduated BCT at Ft. Benning, Georgia on November 18, of 2022, and became a tanker on the M1A2 Abrams. His lifelong dream was to be a tanker. After graduating from AIT, he moved to Ft. Stewart, GA and was deployed to Poland. While in the service he earned many personal awards such as, Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, an Army Service Ribbon, Combat and Special Skill Badge, and Expert for the Marksmanship Qual Badge. In addition to his personal awards, he also earned the rank of Sergeant. He loved many things in life, but being a son, a brother, uncle, boyfriend and Tanker and Dogface Soldier topped his list.
Ezra is survived by Dustin Sadek, Roshanna Sadek, and Gabriel Sadek, dad, stepmom and brother, Nadia Sadek and Kacey Bright, sister and niece, Eric Cross, Heather Cross, Allison Cross and Jacob Cross, step-dad, momma, step-sister and step-brother, girlfriend Victoria Hesser, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles and so many brothers and sisters in arms.
Ezra, you are so deeply missed and have left a massive hole in all of our hearts. You are in a better place and I know you are all around us with your love and light. Rest in Peace, my sweet Little Dude and Dogface Soldier. You are forever loved, and we will continue to live and remember your heart, your soul and your passion.
