Laurie Gausvik, 61, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at her residence. Laurie E. Benson-Gausvik was born to Freddy and Kathleen Benson on April 30, 1962, in Tucson, AZ. She had 6 sisters; Sharon Amaya, Jo Benson, Shelley Dutton, Carol Vickers, Lisa Edmustin, and Julie Placker.

Laurie loved people. Anything she could do to help, she would read from her Bible and somehow it was just what you needed to hear. Laurie was always up for a good adventure and was never scared of anything, always ready for a challenge.

Life’s journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn out shouting Woo Hoo! What a ride!

Laurie will finally get the smokin’ hot body she has always wanted by cremation as per her wishes. We all love and miss you Mom, Grandma, Auntie, and friend.

Laurie is preceded in death by one sister and her son, Jason Gausvik. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Anderson, and Nicole Moreland, her other 5 sisters, 3 grandchildren, her dog, and several nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 11:00 am at Cornerstone Community Church with Pastor Tony Forman officiating.

Online condolences may be written at www.kanefuneral.com. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Sorry, Laurie- I didn’t know you were gone. Her uplifting spirit will be missed by many. As her pharmacist for many years, I admired Laurie’s courage in battles. Love ya, kiddo. Sees ya later.
