The white stuff is coming!
The National Weather Service in Billings, Montana has issued a winter storm watch for Sheridan County, from midnight Tuesday (October 12th), until 6pm Wednesday (October 13th).
Heavy wet snow is possible with total accumulations between 4-12 inches projected, with locally up to 20 inches in the Bighorn and Sheridan foothills.
The Bighorn Mountains are under a winter storm warning from midnight Monday (October 11th) until 6pm Wednesday.
One-to-two feet of snow is expected.
Also the National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a winter storm warning for Johnson County from 6pm Monday, until noon Wednesday.
Heavy wet snow is possible with total accumulations of 4-8 inches projected for the lower elevations, and 6-12 inches projected in the eastern foothills of the Bighorn Mountains.
Winds could gust as high as 45 miles per hour.
Roads especially bridges and overpasses will likely be slick and hazardous, and visibility could be limited, making travel very difficult for motorists.
