JCSD#1 Employment Report for May 12, 2025

The Johnson County School Board voted to accept the Employment Report for the month of May during this week’s regular meeting.

Trustee Dave Belus wanted to recognize those that will be leaving the district.

Those resigning are Holly Scantling, assistant girls basketball coach at Buffalo High School, effective immediately; Steve Heil, art teacher at BHS effective at the end of the school year; Sandra Palkki, transportation administrative assistant, effective at the end of the school year; John Ostheimer, principal at BHS, effective June 30; Kalob Rodriguez, assistant football coach at BHS, effective immediately; and Julie Heil, counselor/special ed. teacher at New West High School, effective June 13.

Arlene Paulson is retiring as a Title 1 Paraprofessional at Cloud Peak Elementary, effective at the end of the school year.

Approved were the recommendations for Francis Harding as 6-12 band teacher, at Clear Creek Middle School and BHS, replacing Faustyna Bennett; Nicole Horblit, counselor at Cloud Peak, replacing Heather Haas; Keri Graves, counselor at Kaycee School, replacing Rileigh Olsen; and Chase Gosney, assistant football coach at Kaycee High School, replacing Jordan Largent, pending certification.

Also approved was the transfer of Ryan Mader, a move from half-time athletic director and half-time teacher to full-time teacher at BHS.
