Nesvik Confirmation Hearing

The U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works held a confirmation hearing Wednesday for a Wyoming man nominated to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
On February 12, President Donald Trump nominated former Wyoming Game and Fish Director Brian Nesvik to serve as the next Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. U.S. Senators John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis along with Governor Mark Gordon introduced Nesvik at Wednesday’s Senate nomination hearing. Following the introductions, Nesvik addressed the committee.
Governor Gordon, along with Senators Barrasso and Lummis, highlighted Nesvik’s leadership in Wyoming’s successful efforts to recover grizzly bears and gray wolves, as well as work to keep the state’s waters free of aquatic invasive species.
