The Ucross Foundation has announced they have been awarded a total of $91,000 in grants from institutions including the National Endowment for the Arts, the Ruth Foundation for the Arts, The Ford Family Foundation, and the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund to support their artist residency program and art gallery.

According to a release from the Foundation, the nonprofit organization relies on grants and individual donations to help them continue to fulfill their mission to provide artists with time and space to focus on the creative process, as well as share their artwork with the surrounding community.

The Ucross Foundation has received a $15,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to expand its Fellowships for Native American Visual Artists and Writers to include, for the first time, Native American Performers.

Also awarded was a $50,000 grant for general operating support from the Ruth Foundation for the Arts.

The Ford Family Foundation awarded $16,000 to support residencies for mid-career visual artists from Oregon.

Finally, the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund awarded $10,000 to support the next exhibition at the Ucross Art Gallery, Celebrating Complexities, which will feature work from four recipients of the Ucross Fellowship for Native American Visual Artists.
