JCSD1 Students Can Get Meals During School Closure

Also discussed during the Johnson County School Board meeting Monday night was the meals program that will be in place during the closure for students to receive at no cost.

According to a letter from Wagner to parents earlier in the week, it was explained that the district would be handing out “grab-and-go bagged lunches” for any young person (19 and under) to pick up.

They can be picked up Monday through Friday from 11am to 1pm in the drop-off lane at Meadowlark Elementary for Buffalo students, and at the back door by the playground for students in Kaycee.

Parents are asked to call Ricci Sanders at 307-620-9206 so enough meals can be prepared.

If parents or students cannot make it to the drop-off locations, contact Sanders so arrangements can be made.

The lunches are not designed for just low-income families, but as a “service to the community.”
