Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 11, 1920.
As the result of a meeting last night at the Elks club, a second troop of cavalry has been organized in Sheridan with 58 men already enrolled.
Sheridan business men will provide prizes for the army essay contest to be held Feb. 20. A first and second prize will be distributed to each school in Sheridan for the best essay written on the topic, “What are the advantages of an enlistment in the U.S. Army?”
Mrs. R. G. Diefenderfer has sufficiently recovered from a recent operation to be removed from the State hospital in Sheridan to her home.
