COVID-19 Numbers as of 3 p.m. Sept. 18
The Wyoming Department of Health reports the state has had 4,009 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 49 deaths in the state resulting from COVID-19.
Fremont County has the most cases of any county in the state with 582 confirmed cases and 14 deaths, according to the WDH.
Sheridan County has a total of 167 Lab Confirmed Positive Cases, an increase of 5 in 24 hours. The WHD is reporting a total of 41 active lab confirmed cases in the county, 64 probable cases in Sheridan County and 178 cases recovered – including probable cases. Sheridan County has experienced 4 deaths related to the virus.
“Right now we are seeing an uptick in cases due to large gatherings, such as Labor Day celebrations and sizable community events,” Debra Haar, Sheridan County Public Health Nurse Manager said in an email to Sheridan Media. “Unfortunately we’ve noticed that people are expanding who they are in close contact with, increasing their chance of contracting COVID-19.”
Johnson County has 23 confirmed cases, 1 active lab confirmed case and 6 probable cases. The WHD reports Johnson County has 27 cases recovered and has experienced 1 death resulting from the coronavirus.
