Lake DeSmet Advisory Board to Discuss North End, Algae Bloom

The Lake DeSmet Advisory Board (LDAB) will meet September 16 for their next meeting, where they will get an update on the North End access area.

They will also have a discussion on the harmful algae bloom in the lake; discuss Lower Clear Creek Irrigation District water; Sheridan County water use; get a status report from the Lake DeSmet Operating Department; and discuss leasing of water in 2026.

The meeting will get underway at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16 in the Johnson County Commissioner’s Meeting Room in the Historic Courthouse.
