Ron RichterWhen the Wyoming Legislature convened February 13 for the 2024 Budget Session, property tax relief for homeowners in Wyoming was a top priority. Civics 307 Founder Gail Symons, during a recent interview with Sheridan Media, said there are a number of bills that address property tax, including the tax refund program.
Symons talked about the tax deferral program.
Symons said there isn’t one fix all bill and explains why some of the property tax relief programs are currently limited.
The Budget Session is scheduled to convene Friday, but lawmakers have yet to agree on the new budget that was hashed out Tuesday night. The new budget that was crafted by a “free committee” is expected to be presented in both chambers Thursday.
