During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger and City Councilman Steve Brantz commented on the City’s portion of the Main Street Resurfacing and Utilities Project.

The City of Sheridan has been working to replace the existing city water transmission, existing sanitary sewer main, any needed repairs to the existing storm sewer system, and placement or upgrade of various enhancements within the sections of Main Street as the Wyoming Department of Transportation worked to resurface the roadway.

Sheridan’s Mayor said he is pleased with the work and the rate of its completion so far.

Due to the recent good weather, WYDOT and the City will complete this year’s phase of the project in time to open Main Street for the Christmas Stroll.

Stroll buttons have been available for purchase by the public since Oct. 28, at Stroll participating businesses and the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, located at 54 S. Main St. Cost remains $5 each.

Both the Mayor and Councilman Brantz are encouraging residents and visitors to take their families to the event and get some Christmas shopping items off the list.

This year’s Christmas Stroll will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with children and available for photos at the WYO Theater from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

I really wish the fire hydrant at Loucks and Main wasn’t so tilted, I heard they were going to fix it immediately.

Interesting leadership is pleased … they are the only ones. Interview the retailers, residents and tourists in Sheridan, you will get a very different view.

This project was a complete disaster. The project should have had two shifts working 5:30 am to 9:00 pm, six days a week. The work would have been completed months ago at a fraction the cost.
