The WYO Performing Arts & Education Center and Trident Theatre will once again take the audience to the castle of Doctor Frank-N-Furter as Brad and Janet delve into the “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.
According to the WYO, the 1975 cult classic will be presented with a cast of local actors performing along with the film. Attendees are encouraged to wear show-themed costumes and a specialty cocktail will be available for purchase.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Executive Director of the WYO Performing Arts & Education Center, Erin Butler, said the experience of attending the “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is both fun and unlike anything else.
“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” centers around a young couple whose car breaks down near a castle, where they seek help and in the process discover an array of characters.
The so-called “science-fiction double feature” will play a limited one-day only run during the spookiest time of the year.
Artistic director of Trident Theatre, Aaron Odom said since this has been an annual event in Sheridan for several years, it’s exciting that Trident has an opportunity to perform this onstage with such a great cast. Odom encourages the audience to let their hair down and do the Time Warp Again!.
Tickets go on sale next week. Contact the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center box office for tickets. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is Rated R.
