Big Horn HS Basketball: The Big Horn boys basketball team has been building momentum since the winter break ended, and that has put them into contention for a state championship.
The Rams are 14-4 so far on the season and are riding an 11-game win streak.
Three of those 4 losses have come against 3A opponents on the road.
The other was against Wyoming Indian.
Head Coach Cody Ball says there’s always some things to work on, but for now, the Rams are right where he wants them to be.
The Big Horn girls are also sitting on top of the 2A East.
The Lady Rams are 17-2 and are riding a 15-game win streak.
Last year was the first time in 6 years that BH qualified for the state tournament.
Head Coach Cody Nikont says opponents are starting to take the team a lot more seriously compared to past years, and the girls are doing the same in return.
Big Horn is on the road to Crook County this weekend with games at both Sundance and Moorcroft.
University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls are on the road today as the team takes on UNLV.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
The Wyoming Cowboys have the midweek off from competition.
They are back in action this coming Saturday for Round 2 of the Border War, at Colorado State.
Colorado Rockies Baseball: Players are beginning to dust off the gloves and break out the bats.
Pitchers and catchers for all teams start practice sometime this week.
For the Colorado Rockies, that day is tomorrow.
The rest of the team reports on Tuesday, February 17th.
The first spring training game is on Friday, February 20th.
The regular season starts on Friday, March 27th, with a 3-game series at Miami.
The first home game is on Friday, April 3rd vs. Philadelphia.
