There is less than one month to go before the post season begins for Wyoming High School winter sports.

Sheridan HS Basketball: The Sheridan boys and girls will start their second run through the 4A East Conference, as the teams host Cheyenne East today starting at 5:30pm and Cheyenne Central tomorrow, beginning at 11:30am.

Aaron Ligocki will also have the LIVE radio play-by-play call on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.


Big Horn/Tongue River/Arvada-Clearmont HS Basketball: The Big Horn boys and girls both won last night at Tongue River.

The Rams and Lady Rams have today off from competition and play tomorrow at home vs. Greybull starting at 2pm.

The Eagles and Lady Eagles play at home today vs. Rocky Mountain.

The girls tip time is at 5:30pm.

TR also plays tomorrow at Sundance beginning at 2:30pm.

Arvada-Clearmont plays today at Kaycee at 3pm and tomorrow at Midwest at 12-noon.


Buffalo HS Basketball: Buffalo is at Wheatland today starting at 5:30pm and return home to play Torrington tomorrow at 3pm.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Wrestling: The Sheridan boys will compete today and tomorrow in a number of dual matches in Cheyenne, while the girls will do the same at Rock Springs.

Tongue River is scheduled to dual at Lovell today and then go to the Greybull Invitational tomorrow.

Buffalo hosts Worland for a dual today and will also be at Greybull tomorrow.


Sheridan/Buffalo HS Boys Swimming and Diving: The conference meets are this weekend.

Sheridan will compete today and tomorrow at the 4A East meet at Gillette.

Buffalo will be at the 3A North meet at Newcastle.

The state meet is 2 weeks away in Cheyenne.


Sheridan HS Nordic Skiing: Sheridan is scheduled to compete today and tomorrow on top of Casper Mountain.

The Sheridan Invitational is scheduled for next weekend on Cutler Hill.


Sheridan/Johnson County HS Indoor Track and Field: Sheridan, Big Horn, Tongue River and Buffalo are all scheduled to compete today at Gillette.

The state meet will also take place at Gillette, one month from this weekend.


Sheridan Hawks Boys Amateur Hockey: The Sheridan Hawk boys team is scheduled to conclude the regular season at 7:30pm today and at 10:30am tomorrow against Fremont County.

The games have been moved to Cody, because they are having problems making ice at the rink in Riverton, due to all the recent warm weather.

Sheridan is scheduled to host the Wyoming Amateur Hockey League State B Tournament, the weekend of February 27th, 28th and March 1st.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: Sheridan is at home this weekend for a pair of games as the team tries to maintain their hold on 1st place in the NA3HL’s Frontier Division.

The Hawks host Gillette today and Cody tomorrow.

The puck drops at 7:30pm in both games.


University of Wyoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys host Utah State tomorrow.

The Aggies are in 1st place in the Mountain West Conference.

Tip off is scheduled for 6pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

On the women’s side, tomorrow is Round 1 of the Border War as the Wyoming Cowgirls visit Colorado State.

Tip off for that game is scheduled for 2pm and you can hear the game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.
