College Football National Signing Day: Today is a big day for many high school senior football players and college football programs across the country.

It’s National Signing Day as players can put the ink to the paper and make it official that they are joining the college football team of their choosing.

There was a 3-day early signing period back in December, but many usually wait until around now to seal the deal.

Sheridan High School grad and current Montana State football player Dane Steel was in this position a few years ago.

He says just because you signed your name on the line, doesn’t automatically mean you’re going to play and explains some of the differences between high school and college football.

Basketball signing day isn’t until mid-April and the signing period for most other collegiate sports is already open until August 1st.
