Big Horn HS Volleyball Wins State Championship: For the 3rd year in a row and for the 4th time in 5 years, the Big Horn High School Volleyball Team are 2A State Champs.
The Lady Rams defeated Sundance in Saturday’s championship game 3-1, to avenge their loss to the Lady Bulldogs one week ago at home in the East Regional Championship game.
Senior Maui Orum says BH underestimated the opposition in the previous meeting, and explains what corrections were made before the state championship match.

Big Horn finishes the season with a record of 30-9.
Tongue River/Sheridan HS Volleyball: Tongue River would win the 2A 3rd place trophy and finish with a record of 29-9.
Sheridan was eliminated in Saturday’s 4A consolation round and finished with a record of 21-14.
Sheridan HS Football: Sheridan defeated Cheyenne Central in the 4A semifinals 28-7, to advance in their quest to 5-peat.

The Broncs will take on Campbell County this coming Saturday at 4pm, inside War Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of Wyoming.
Sheridan’s state record winning streak continues to grow and is now at 54 straight games.
Big Horn HS Football: Big Horn took advantage of 4 fumbles, 2 turnovers on downs, 1 blocked punt and recovered a kickoff to thump Thermopolis 48-6 in the 2A semifinals.

The 2A State Championship will be a matchup of undefeated teams, as the Rams take on Mountain View this coming Friday at 12-noon.
Sheridan/Buffalo HS Girls Swimming and Diving: The state meet was this past weekend in Laramie.
Those who finish in the top 2 of their event get all-state honors, except for relay teams, which is winning team only.
In the 4A meet, Sheridan placed 6th out of 14 teams.
Sophomore Liah Fjell was 2nd in the 50 yard freestyle race.
In the 3A meet, Buffalo was 3rd.
Mian Monteraselli won the 100 yard breaststroke race and was 2nd in the 200 yard individual medley race.
Horizon Hanson was 2nd in diving.
Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks split weekend home games vs. Great Falls.
The team lost on Friday 4-3 and won on Saturday 3-1.
The Hawks are home again this weekend as the team takes on Gillette on Friday and Rapid City on Saturday.
The puck drops in both games at 7:30pm.
University of Wyoming Cowboy and Cowgirl Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys ran their record to 2-0 on the season, thanks to a 92-82 win at home vs. Cal State Fullerton.
The Brown and Gold hit 8 3’s in the second half and that made a difference.
Nasir Meyer came off the bench for the second straight game to lead the Pokes in scoring with 18.
Damarion Dennis put in 16 and Khaden Bennett added 15.
UW is scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. Austin Peay State.
The Wyoming Cowgirls evened up their record at 1-1, winning this past Friday at home vs. Long Beach State 72-39.
The ladies raced out to a 23-4 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Malene Pedersen led all scorers with 15 points.
Logan Alvar put in 14, while Lana Beslic and Henna Sankvik each added 10.
Wyoming is scheduled to play its first road game of the season tomorrow at UT Arlington.
Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won both home games this past weekend, as the team defeated Golden State on Friday 129-104 and defeated Indiana on Saturday 117-100.
In Saturday’s game, Nikola Jokic had a triple-double…32 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists.
The Nuggets are next scheduled to play tomorrow at Sacramento.
Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won both road games in Canada this past weekend.
The team won on Saturday at Edmonton 9-1, and won last night at Vancouver 5-4 in overtime.
The Avs are next scheduled to play tomorrow at home vs. Anaheim.
