Funeral services for Tiffany Songer, 37-year-old Buffalo resident who passed away Saturday at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, will be held Saturday, March 16th at 4:00 p.m. in the Buffalo High School Gymnasium with Pastor William Dunlap officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 15th from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to immediately follow the funeral. Donations in Tiffany’s memory may be made to the Tiffany Songer Memorial Fund, an educational fund set up for her children in the care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Tiffany Elaine Songer was born on February 5, 1987, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to Craig and Julie Stricker. She grew up and went to school in Wyoming but moved to Marysville, California where she graduated from Marysville High School with the class of 2005. After high school, she attended the University of California Chico where she received a B.S. in Education in 2009. She was married on September 25, 2010, in Buffalo to J.D. Songer and they made their home in Buffalo. She took a teaching job in Sheridan where she taught for two years at Sheridan High School. She was hired by Johnson County School District #1 in 2016 as a Social Studies Teacher, a job she held until her death.
Tiffany was an avid runner and completed the 18-mile race of the Big Horn Mountain Run. She was a project girl and loved organizing events. She was a goal-setter and never started anything she didn’t complete. She was very active with the local and state Veteran’s Associations. She was recognized at the State of the State Address and was invited to the Governor’s Mansion for a luncheon. She is survived by her husband J.D. Songer of Buffalo; one daughter Ellie Songer of Buffalo; one son Jameson Songer also of Buffalo; Her father and step-mother Craig and Kathy Stricker of Buffalo; her mother Julie Holloter of Crescent City, California; five sisters, Christi Maurer and Misty McBroom both of Buffalo, Shannon Maier and her husband Matt of Racine, Wisconsin, Jordanne Miller and her husband Anthony of Gilbert, Arizona, and Mikaela McMartin and her husband Jordan of Gridley, California and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
