Misti Marie Kimmel
Misti Marie Kimmel, 43, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, in Dayton, WY at her residence. Misti was born on March 3, 1980, to parents Donald A. Larsen and Robin M. Wick in Sheridan, WY. She graduated from High School in 1998 in McMinnville, OR. She continued her education at Sheridan College where she became the first woman in the state of Wyoming to complete the Diesel Mechanic program.
Misti worked at Decker Coal Mine as a Diesel Mechanic where she met her husband, Billy. Misti and Billy loved to spend time in the mountains with their dogs, where Misti spent most of her time fishing. Throughout the years Misti worked for Sheridan Motors, Fremont Ford, Mel’s Helping Hands, and Life Steps of Wyoming. She was employed by Beacon Independency Center, where she devoted her time and her heart to special needs Individuals.
Misti enjoyed fishing, camping, the mountains, hunting, and crafting. She liked to dance and sing, especially in the car. She loved being scared. Watching scary movies was one of her favorite things to do. Misti spent a lot of her free time with her best friend, her daughter Remi. She was the best auntie, and she especially adored her grandkids!
Misti is survived by her husband Billy Kimmel Jr., her son Payson (Michaela) Larsen, her grandchildren Jensen and Scout Larsen, her daughter Remi Larsen, her stepchildren Bailey Kimmel and Adam Kimmel, her parents Donald (Cheryl) Larsen, Robin (Brian) Wick. Her brother Jared Dunivan, sisters Shawna (Jason) Young, KC (Chris) Holcomb, and Kacy (Kyle) Anton, her grandmother Joanne Larsen, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Larry Adams, and Donald Larsen, grandmother Bonnie Wolfgram, Uncle Troy Adams, and great-grandmother Norma Wisner.
Misti had a laugh like no other and a smile that always brightened any room she was in. She will be truly missed.
A Celebration of Life is at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 12, 2024, at Bethesda Worship Center, 5135 Coffeen Ave, Sheridan, WY with Pastor David Gunderson officiating with a reception to follow. Memorials to honor Misti may be made to Beacon Independency Center, 1969 S. Sheridan Avenue, Sheridan, WY 82801.
