The 9th annual Ucross Community Christmas Celebration is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 11 at 4 pm at the Raymond Plank Center, located at the intersection of Highways 14 and 16 east in Ucross. The celebration will feature the traditional reading of a Christmas story by author Craig Johnson. In addition, there will be carols by the Buffalo Balladiers; a piano performance by Ebernezer Eferobor; festive refreshments and more.

The festivities will culminate with the lighting of thousands of Christmas tree lights, with help from Powder River Energy Corporation, the firing of a cannon, and a fireworks display by Bruce Burns. In the spirit of Christmas, event organizers are asking that people bring canned and non-perishable food times for families in need. Ucross staff will distribute the donated items to several local community food pantries. The event is free and open to anyone that wishes to attend.
