Sheridan County OKs Landeck Hot Mix Plant
A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a proposed hot mix plant has been approved by a vote of the Sheridan County Commission.
During their meeting this week, the commission considered the CUP application, submitted by Paul Landeck, to enable the operation of a hot mix plant near the intersection of US Highway 14/16 and State Highway 197 between Ucross and Clearmont.
According to the staff repor from the County Public Works Department, the temporary hot mix plant will supply asphalt for the WYDOT US Highway 14/16 overlay project which will begin May 1st of 2021 and run through December 31st of 2022.
WYDOT will assist with reclamation of the site once the project is complete, according to discussions at the meeting.
The Planning & Zoning Commission, on a 4-0 vote, recommended the commission approve the CUP with some minor requirements.
