City Officials to Consider Acceptance of Safe Streets for All Grant Award

Acceptance of a federal grant award will soon be an item of consideration for the Sheridan City Council. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

City of Sheridan Public Works Director Hanns Mercer provided the Governing Body with details of a federal Safe Streets for All grant award in the amount of $200,000.

Mercer said the Safe Streets for All program funds two types of grants.

The $200,000 grant award requires a $50,000 local match, which Mercer said would be funded with public benefit funds. The acceptance of the grant award will be considered by the City Council at an upcoming business meeting.
