The Mission of the Hub on Smith

Representatives with the Hub on Smith recently provided an update to the Sheridan City Council. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has more.

The mission of the Hub on Smith in Sheridan is to celebrate, embrace and serve older adults for the betterment of the community. The Hub on Smith is one of the nonprofit agencies in Sheridan that receive General Purpose Excise Tax funds from the City.  The Hub Director of Operations Ryan Landis highlighted some statistics regarding older adults in Sheridan.

Landis explained how the GPET funds have been used at the Hub.

The Hub on Smith is one of Sheridan’s largest nonprofit employers with over 80 employees. There are currently 475 active volunteers at the Hub that help provide the many services that are offered to older adults in Sheridan County.
